converting vhs to dvd

    Hi all, i'm new here. Can someone guide me how to convert a VHS to DVD using a computer and vcr. My computer has a dvr105 dvd recorder. I don't know how to connect a vcr to a computer. if there is any website please let me know.

    You will need some type of capture hardware. I use the Pinnacle AV/DV card. The only prob with it is that it only captures analog in the pinnacle software, and then only at full DV resolution. There are probably better cards out there.
    I also have a Philips DVDR985 external DVD burner for transfering the vids too. Works good on my dv cam. VHS stuff is harder to do.
