Use a different value for Y, or get hold of the game from your own region.

i have tried a diff value of 'y' upon the creation of the iso file on my hd. i have tried to go and re-run pal to ntsc with y program, but that doesnt seem to work.

i guess the easy answer is to install the mod chip on my desk, i was investigating the other route of software modification.

is there software around besides the pal to ntsc patch that alters y settings?

If you are using Swap Magic then screen cut off is just one of the many annoying setbacks you face.
