Copy Protection PS2

    What is the type of copy protection that the playstation 2 games have.

    First of all most of them are DVD games so they cant be copied straight to cd-r disks!

    You need a dvd burner to make a god copy of a ps2 game. As for the protection, basically, ps2's can read bad sectors but cd burners and dvd burners cant burn bad sectors to blank media so you require a modchip to bypass the protection!

    The PS2 disk are pressed by sony with code for the boot that can not be duplicated by a burner.
    Mod chips inject the code so backups will run.
