I just bought Windows XP Pro and would like to make a backup copy. Can you suggest a program that will let me make the backup? I don't have a DVD only a CD burner. I have read in the forums but there seems to a difference of opinions on which procedure to use. The only software that I have is Ashampoo Burning Studio 2008 will this make an accurate copy.
    Thanks---Ollie

I never used Ashampoo but if it can record a regular cd then thats all you need. Copy it as though its a standard data cd.

I don't think a standard data CD will do the job. You have to make an Image Disc.

CloneCD comes to mind as a good choice. I use it for all CD 1:1 copying, as it is also one of the few software apps that read subchannel data (great for PSX/PS2 CD backups).
