I have a UK/Europe PS3 which only plays Region 2 DVD.I have some Region 1 discs. Is there any copying method that will allow me to play these discs on the PS3?

Will it not play 'all region' DVD's?
Once the DVD is ripped with the likes of DVD Fab HD Decrypter, it's
    region free.
If you ripped a region 2 DVD and burned it, then you could test.
Of course it might still have to be converted to PAL depending on the players capabilities.

Thanks Attar.I have tried Any DVD and that works fine. However,I have some DVD's on my external hard drive.Am I right in assuming that Any DVD only works with physical discs and not with files?

If they are on the hard drive, they must have been ripped - so they shouldn't have any protection, and AnyDVD should not be required.
