I have managed to convert the flv format to avi format and tried burning it to a dvd, but when i try to do it on nero, it says "unexpected file format". Why does this happen, and what can i do so that i can get this video clip burnt on the dvd? I also tried burning using nero and burning a vcd. That worked but the sound was all distorted. Hope someone can help me out!.

Does the AVI play ok on the PC?

If it does, open the AVI in this program and try converting to DVD.

    http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe
Import the file(s) (AVI, MPEG, VOB)
Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)
Use Nero burning ROM to burn the files to DVD.
Alternatively, burn with freeware, DVD Shrink + DVD Decrypter.
