I have been using Dvd Express for over a year, without any major problem, when making a backup of a backup, I have been using RecordNow Version 4.56, This has been working great, UNTIL this week, Usually with RecordNow, I have a backup done in a total of 30 minutes, but now it is taking up no less than a hour. What is the deal, I even tried used Nero 6 and that took an hour. I have had to use the burner as the source and desitnation also, by burner is a HP 300N, Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Go into your device manager and see if your IDE channels have changed back to PIO mode. If so change them back to DMA. If unable to change them, remove them from the list, re-boot and let Windows reinstall the IDE channels properly. That should reset them to DMA.
