Hi, I've recently bought Far Cry (DVD Version). I was looking for some help in making a working backup copy of this game. I have Blindwrite v5.2.6.139 I also have Alcohol 120% and Clone DVD. My DVD writer is Liteon LDW-811S. I've tried in the past to get working copies, but they never seem to turn out right. Thanks for all your help in advance.

    My other system specs are:
    AMD Athlon XP 2600
    1GB DDR PC400
    2x80GB HDD
    Windows XP Pro

What settings as far as read/write speed and profiles have you used with the various softwares you've tried?

At this time (as I understand and tested and read) there is no possible way to make a working PC DVD backup of any program.

Maybe with some future updates with various programs this will be possible.

Clonecd claims to do this but various testing proves not possible.

Hey Nephilim, I think i've used 4x read/write using alcohol 120% safedisc 2/3 profile to make an image then burned it using alcohol as well. I haven't actually tried Clone DVD or Blindwrite yet.
Geestar thanx very much for that information, should help a lot. I only ordered the game the other day so haven't got it yet, but as soon as i get it i'll try what you said and get back to you.
Thanx again to both of you for taking time to help me, much appreciated.

A 4X burn for a DVD game is much too fast. I's recommend knocking it back to 1X and see where that gets you.
