copying xbox games

    my xbox is modded some how, it currently plays xbox backup games but i cant seem to just put an original xbox game in a drive in pc and copy it to a blank media as it says only 10 seconds or sos worth of info on disk.

    pls help if you can

    The problem is that a normal DVD-RW/DVD+RW drive cannot read Dual-Layered discs, also know as DVD-9 discs. You need a DVD-9 reader which, at this time, are hard to come by. :(

    so how do other people get around this problem using just a normal dvd rom

    I'm sure dvd roms can't read xbox games, you need your xbox networked into your pc in order to make back-ups. Go to the xbox forum, you'll get the help you need there !

    They don't use a regular DVD-ROM, they FTP the file from their Xbox (which has a DVD-9 reader) to their PC, and burn the created file to a DVD-R.
