    I upgraded my first gen 60gb PS3 to a 500gb hd.

I put a bigger Seagate hd in it, than it had originally.

Followed the procedure, formatted the hd to FAT32, formatted the hd in the PS3, reloaded the save file I made from the original hd.

Most of the time it works without problem.

Occasionally after turning it on, it just shows the wallpaper, then comes up with 'Correct hard drive not found'. Turn it off, restart, and it works fine.

After the lastest update, now it says 'Correct storage media not found' instead.

    What is up with this?

Hmm, could be the hdd is loose, take it out and then put it back in making sure it goes all the way in.

The hdd didn't seem loose, took it out and securely held it in while i put the blue screw back in.

I'll have to see if this fixes it.

    Thanks!
