I have a MPG file that I downloaded on WinMX, I was watching it and I saw that one part in the movie has big distorted blocks for a few second, is that part corrupted? is there a way to fix that?? and was it already corrupted before I downloaded the file or while I was downloading the file

Sounds like some sort of error in the Video data, These types of errors aren"t really fixable, if you used a Frame accurate editor like Mpeg2VCR you could cut the Bad frames out but that is about it.....Cheers
