I've been downloading movies off of kazaa and some come out fine. However, some are obviously longer than the posted length, but the movie stops at the posted time. For example, a movie is supposed to be, say, 10 mins long, but the length listed when you play it is, say, 1 min 50 sec. The movie stops at 1 min 50 sec. If I scroll the movie back a few seconds, I pick up parts of the movie that take place after 1 min 50 sec. What is the fix? I've got windows XP with Win Media Player 8. I've tried the same movie with quicktime, realplayer, and the divx playa, but the phenamenon continued. Suggestions are appreciated.

Most likely you have a Codec problem and-or a movie player problem.....I suspect the player....Try using different movie players.....I have six installed

a.PowerDVD - the worse for playing DLed movies
b.Win Media Player - rarely works well
c.HyPlay - weird controls, hasn't learned to forget the skins
d.DivX Player 2.0 Alpha - have yet to get it to work well
e.AVIPreview - good for checking a AVI movie as it comes down
e.ACE Mega CoDecs Pack Zoom Player - - the best that I have used

Even though you have the right Codecs installed, some players work better than others
