So I just purchased a new CR4 XL chip which came with a free QSB and began looking around for tutorials on how to get this thing up and running. Unfortunately, I realize now that all of the tutorials require a JR Programmer v2 to dump the NAND and ultimately finish the modding process. Is it possible for me to just to solder the QSB to the board and the 5 wires to the CR4 XL and call it a day? (Technically, it's only 4 wires, I have no idea what the black on is for.)

For reference, I used these pictures from this site to help me solder: http://www.se7ensins...cr4-xl.1235020/

Note: I have a Trinity MOBO. I have also included pictures of my personal unit and all the points I already soldered. So I guess my question is... What's my next step? My goal is running backups of games from an internal or external HDD. I have no interest in XBOX Live. Do I need the JR Programmer to finish my setup? Or can I just put this thing back together and let it fly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Most probably have better luck at over at realmodscene, link is in my sig.I've never known a 360 that didn't require reading the nand for a chip to work however i know crap about it so if you have no luck here you will get your answer at RMS,besides your going to need them anyway as that's where fsd comes from as does then new dash aurora & LiNK,so you may as well sign up to unity as well or you won't get the covers once scan paths are set
