crc error please help

    hi every one im a newbie on here.

    ive ripped a dvd with dvd shrink and dvd decrypter. but when i try and shrink the file with dvd shrink wether its a iso or a vob file i get a data error (cyclic redundancy check). it happens with all the dvds i try to rip. it will rip them with no problems but when i try to shrink the file i get that msg. ive also tried ripping straight with dvd shrink, but if i do a quick analasys of the iso or vob file i get the same msg

    please help

    when i get that message i just clean the source dics
    then retry and most times it works
    even the slightest scratch or dirt on the disc can cause the error(cyclic redundancy check).

    its bin happpening on brand new discs its the file that seems to be corrupted or sumthin.

    can sum1 plz help

    Welcome!
    As you will find CRC is a popular post. If cleaning the disc didn't help as KPM123 suggested I would start here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/183136
    Then go to Scuba Pete's guide (link is in the above thread) and choose Hard to Rip DVD's.
