wwejunkie, No they're two different items (can look the same though) I needed to connect my pc to my mac,so I could transfer files back & forth. Standard cat5 cabeling here is blue, and on some occaisions so are the cross overs. So to help myself when changeing set ups, I boought the cross over cable in RED. Now there's no confusion as to which is which when I need them. As for FTP an Xbox,and which cable you need,sorry can't help out, but be patient you bound to get other posts also. Good luck Cheers. No you will have to have a crossover cable to do so. Just to make sure it isn't a crossover cable you can look at both ends of the cable and see if wires are placed the same in the connectors if they are then it is straight through if not it is crossover.
yeah and some crossover cables sometimes says crossover cable on them. go check out the xbox section of afterdawn i think i saw some tutorials about how to ftp an xbox
