OK NOW IM REALLY GOING NUTS!

I installed a crystal chip pro in PS 2 V15. I finally was able to get a firmware to working after going through a whole bunch of
cd's. I found out I had to use Alcohol 120 in DAO/SAO format to work.

The problem is the only firmware I got to work is the OEM Crystal chip firmware. This firm ware does not let you play your back ups.

When I try to use a hacked firmware (hacked O29)the PS 2 wont read it and the screen just stays black.

Whats going on? The firmware from Crystal chip works but nothing else will work.

you should be using the hacked R34 release from Jones23. Also you will need to boot the disc in recovery mode in order for the disc to boot correctly. Have a look here for the different hardware boot modes.

http://www.psx-scene.com appears to be down right now but you can get the generic hacked R34 release from http://www.eurasia.nu/ in the PS2 download section.

You can also get the hacked R34 release from here http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=crystal.html

    Have fun.
