    Hi all,
Ive just upgraded to Vista Home Premium from Media Center 2004, and for some reason now im running on Vista, my D: drive is as much use as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest!! It recognises the act of putting a disc in it, even displays in "My Computer" what the disc title is.... but wont play jack?!
Now, the Windows upgrade advisor suggested i increase my RAM from 512MB, to 1GB and this was the only "issue" lets say. Is it possible that this deficit in RAM is whats causing the problem?

    (Note: ive already tried 4 new D: drives, uninstalling/ re-installing etc/ manufacurers website, blah,blah,blah)
    Many Thanks,
    Hando

no its not your ram, try activating the option AUTOPLAY in your tool bar, right click the drive and select open to view the contents or search or explore,
