Your manual can give you this information and may be needed for the password to get in. If you lost it here is what you do.

    1) click start\run
    2) type cmd and enter
    3) at prompt type ipconfig and enter

There will be a list of numbers. you want the number for default gateway (192.168.?.?)This is the routers IP adress. jot that number down. now close command prompt.

    4) open internet explorer
    5) in adress bar type http://(enter the ip address you wrote down)

A login screen will appear. In most routers the default user name and password is ADMIN/ADMIN. This is NOT always the case (reffer to your manual even if you have to download it to get the correct loggin info).

Now you can change things at your hearts content. Hope this helps

i went to 'HELP' and this is what it has to say about authentication:

    WEP
Wired Equivalent Protocol (WEP) is a wireless security protocol for Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN). WEP provides security by encrypting the data that is sent over the WLAN. The DI-624 supports 2 levels of WEP Encryption: 64Bit encryption and 128Bit encryption. WEP is disabled by default. The WEP setting can be changed to fit an existing wireless network or to customize your wireless network.

but from where can i chage it?

ok i have found it but what are the differences between the 3 type of keys: WEP, WPA, WPA2
will setting WPA effect the perfomance of the internet for e.g
if i set WEP will the internet work better or something like that?
