I am having problem trying to make a backup copy of Pirates of Caribbean using DVD Shrink 3.0 Beta5.
It keeps giving me the following error message:

DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
    The error is:

    Failed to read from file
The reason is: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

This happened during 41% into the "Analyzing" stage.
I didn't have any problem with T3 using the same method.

Anyone seen similar problem with other movies?
Another thread had mentioned copying protection with Disney movies. Maybe this movie cannot be copied.

Any comments would be fully appreciated.

Cyclic redundancy errors are caused by missing or corrupted data from the source disc.
This is usually caused by dirt or damage on the source disc. Carefully clean your movie disc and examine the surface for defects.

I copied this movie using DVD Decrypter and Nero Recode 2 without any problems. :D

You're right now that I do see a scratch on that DVD.
I'll try to clean the DVD and see if it can be read cleanly.

Thanks for your prompt reply. -y.
