I have a v7 with DMS3 fitted. The unit has worked perfectly for the last 3 months until today. Whilst playing a cd backup the game froze when I tried to reboot I just get the green light with no blue eject light and there is absolutely no activity from the disc drive, but the cooling fan can be heard operating. Any ideas as to the problem would be appreciated.
    TIA

A cold joint finally decided to not work anymore. Chip died(unlikely). Loose wire(s).

I've read somewhere that this may be a BA chip failure.
Do you think that's a possibility?

Yeah, the tray not coming out is a symptom of that, but I've had the problem before and remedied it by making sure all connections were good and that the reset ribbon cable wasn't damaged or anything.
