Hey guys, is there a way to make sure Decrypter actually burns at the 1X speed? I am changing the speed to 1X with the drop down box on the right hand side, but after Decrypter is done burning it shows an average burn speed of 4X. Any clue? Thanks in advance.

i have the same problem but mine burns at 2x when i select 1x. i think the new burns wont burn at 1x and so you should buy a new that only burns at 2x.or use a media that only supports 2x so it will burn at 2x only.

I think your burner will just burn at whatever speed it likes no matter what you set DVD Decrypter to.
I set mine at 1X and it always burns at like 3.8X
But since it always works i just haven't tried to find out why. It is fairly new, last year
(Sony DRU-700A). I love that burner! burns anything, even dual layer.
