DVD Shrink is giving me a message that says the DVD is R.C.E. protected.I need to correctly choose the region in order for it to remove this protection otherwise it will only work in players for that intended region.
    How do I determine region?

The obvious answer to me is where the movie is filmed or the setting for it. This particular movie is set in New Zealand.

    Thanks!

I assume the disk you have came from New Zealand.
Use DVDFabDecrypter to rip the DVD.It will remove the region coding, then use DVD Shrink on the output folder.

Insert disk, run program, select 'Main Movie'

    http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm

Verify and Burn to DVD using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.

Note that New Zealand is PAL and if you are NTSC then the burned disk may not play on a standalone DVD player.

Excellent! Worked like a charm. Haven't tried it on a standalone but it works on my computer.
    Thanks!
