did anyone's region code change when..

    updating the firmware to 2.0. my region changed from 1 to 2. not a huge deal, i changed it back, but it's sucks to think if i was accidentaly change a few more times, then it would be useless.

    I was shocked to learn that my Sony DRU-530A had somehow set itself to Region 2 even before I upgraded the firmware to 2.0c. And, no, I didn't play any non-American DVDs.

    I bought it a couple of months ago at CompUSA in Honolulu. Annoying to think that they may be selling it that way.
