got a magic 3.1, soldered the 17 wires booted up the ps2 and got no sound no video just like a little white flash and the eject button blinked for a few seconds then stays blue. tryed to find bridges couldnt find any. i think i may have damaged my cd/dvd chip. does any one have any info or help with this particular problem? thanks.

did you sliced any tracers on the board?

perhaps checking out the hardware discussion on this forum would benefit you. i think if you have a bridge, your ps2 won't even boot up at all. and i think a damaged chip would be my guess too.

I bought the Magic V chip for mine and i Have the same problem. The blue light comes on but no sound no picture. I took the chip back out and it was fine, so instaled it again and still the same. tryed two diffrent chips both did the same thing.
