difference in PS2 V7 flip top and V9 flip top

    One has more screws, the newer version ps2's have more screw holes on the bottom.

    no, your wrong wagz. The difference is that the reset/eject buttons are connected to the top in v7 and they are connected to the ps2 in v9. So there is a little more plastic in the v7 fliptop to hold the buttons. You can convert a v7 fliptop to a v9 fliptop by cutting off the extra plastic.
