Here's what I would like to do:
Transfer my camcorder video to my pc. Then transfer the video to a CD using my CDRW but I want to be able to play it on my DVD player.
    Can I do this?
If so what's the proper process and file types I should save as? Do I need softwares?
    Thanks for the help, MIKE

If your footage from Camcorder is .mpeg format when brought it to HDD then it'll burn straight to CD-R as VCD.

I use Nero as burning software but all will create a Video CD for you...

Thanks for the info. I tired it and it worked. However, the quality of playback was very poor. If I got the SVCD plug-in for Nero would that help the quality? Any other suggestions?
Which is better to convert...AVI or MPEG?
    Thanks, MIKE

Yes if you get the SVCD plug-in you'll be able to make files MPEG2 whereas you have done MPEG1 [VCD compliant] already.

    Peace
