I have a video dvd which was created from some old 8 mm home movies. I would like to use Adobe Premier 6.5 to edit the dvd. How do I turn the dvd into a file format that Adobe Premier 6.5 can handle?

i think premiere does support mpeg2 which is dvd format.
    so it should work...

but anyway, i'm not sure what's your problem.
so i can only tell you to load the video into virtualdubmod and save as huffyuv, a lossless codec.
    it may get quite big.
