I'm new to DVD burning and I wanted to know if there is an equivalent to Direct Cd whereby you can UDF format your DVD disk so that you can write data to it, as if it were a huge floppy disk. Is this supported in Nero 6 or any other DVD burner software. As I can not seem to locate anything. There is a UDF\ROM mode in Nero but that doesn't do the same thing.

You are looking to use your dvd as a storage device? If this is the case, yes NERO will do what you want - to keep the headaches down - use the nero wizard and tell it you want to burn a dvd data disk.
