disk error

I keep on receiving this message error: "There's a problem with the dis you're using. It may be dirty or damaged." with backed up games that used to run fine, what can cause this?

 

What kind of chip is in your xbox?

Is it a DVD drive problem or a mochip problem?

 

i get the samething whats goin on? i have the excuter 2.2 lite and the evoxm7 bios.

no its a samsung, but i think that its a dvd media problem unless someone else has a different anwser, im thinking about putting a differnt dvd drive in, but money is real short rite now.
