I am trying to reformat my friends pc for him and it keeps telling me "DISK I/O Error Replace disk and hit any key" I can't even seem to get into the bios screen cause there is no option available from the initial start-up screen. It just stays on the screen and tell me to hit delete to resume which then takes me to the dos screen with the error message.

chkdsk the Hardrive, sounds as if the drive may be bad as i stated in another post recently. If you can spinrite the drive of use disk warrior or a similiar computer.
