Try to burn it on CD-RW, if your PS2 can read it you won't lose anything whenever it works or not. I don't know anything about Swap Magic's abilities but it's worth of trying, package which I linked is basically a booting CD so it might do the thing.

Before you can do anything dl that PS2 Boot disc off Stinkys Tread..
Once you have that open the folders, in it you will notice differant file, the player is already in his Cd, all you have to do it make a new folder and name Divx or what ever you want, just long as you know that when you open the media player that is the directory where your Divx are. Then play you divx files into the folder. Remember Cd's are 700mbs, so you have to be selective, unless you use DVD-r's like I did, 4.7gigs... Thats what I did exactly. After that is done follow this procedure to the exact if using Nero, nit sure what burning program you are using, but this is what I use or alcohol 120 if you are backing up psx/ps2 games, for the virtual drive. But thats another subject.
ISO9660 charset is the Physical format of the CD you are using,
    MODE-1
standard 2048-byte Yellow Book sectors, with error correction
    MODE-2
2336-byte sectors, usually used for CD-ROM/XA
    CD-ROM/XA
eXtended Architecture; CD-ROM/XA MODE-2 defines two forms:
    FORM-1
2048 bytes of data, with error correction, for data
    FORM-2
2324 bytes of data, no ecc, for audio/video
    Thats basically it...

Open Nero burning rom (I dont use express so these instructions will not
use it). Start a new compilation.
    4. Make sure you select dvd in the drop menu, it may say cd now but chage
    it.
    5. Scroll down all the way and select Dvd-Rom (UDF/ISO).
    6. On the mutisession tab select no multisession.
    7. On the ISO tab make sure there are no check marks in any of the boxes,
(there is one that is greyed out that says allow more than 64 charecters,
    dont worry about this).
    8. Still on the ISO tab file name length should be max of 11 = 8 + 3chars
    Iso level 1
    9. Still on ISO tab charecter set should be iso 9660 (standard iso cd rom)
    10. Next under UDF tab UDF partion type should be Physical Partition
    11. Still inder UDF tab file system version should be UDF 1.02
    12. Leave force dvd-video compatability uchecked
    13. Under the label tab make up a name for you compilation
    14. Dates tab leave it alone it doesnt matter
    15. Misc tab make sure each box has a check mark
    16. Burn tab, if it is going to be less than s gigs burn at your slowest
speed, otherwise dont worry too much
    17. Hit the new button
    18. Browse to the BOOT CD folder that you unpacked using WinRAR and put all the files and folders in
there just the way they are
    19. Hit burn
    20. Sit back and wait

Once you make you files and folder you have to convert it to an ISO and mount it the virtual drive then do a copy, and use the ps2 selection to write with... I never done this with Alcohol,
Oh wait you said you have Nero Express... use make a data cd or a data dvd, which ever media you are using..1) Open Nero (or your favorite burning software)

    2) select Make Data CD

    3) open the folder labeled "STINKYS ALL IN ONE PS2 DISK"

    4) Open the folder labeled "ALL IN ONE DISK"

    5) Highlight ALL the contents of that folder

    6) Drag them all over to the compilation window

    7) Press "BURN"

    8) wait a few minutes then pop it in your ps2 and watch it load right in.

but still that is not helping..
cuz I can get this from the boot CD.. but I need to know how 2 get to the normal way of burning cuz I have the EXPRESS 6 and I dont know how 2 get there.
so if there is any way of doing that or just burn it normally as a DVD data??

ashroy01, well as I understand is that we have to do a file in the BOOT CD/DVD with the DIVX and then play them, but I am not sure, I could be mistaken and I hope.. cuz I really dont want to burn the DIVX again and I will have them 2times..
    so I really dont know..
    later.

that's weak, but on second thought cds are cheap so maybe I'd try it for some of them. It looks confusing though, have you tried it?

yes I have been trying that the time.
and I am sick of burning CD's and DVDs but still no use.
I am not sure if I have to put the DivX in the BOOT CD or not..
I am not sure if I can set the NERO to burn on MODE 2..... etc..
so I dont think it will work with out that... :(

    You guys,

If you just download the program from my site and READ the documentation you will understand. Your getting confused because 2 people on here have pointed you at 2 different things, and have told you 2 different ways to do it.

If you would just download and READ then you will know exactly what to do.

To sum it up you need to know 2 things.

    1) The PS2 DOES NOT play divx movies normally. Because of this you NEED to run PS2MEDIAPLAYER. It is a homebrew app that was made specifically to turn the PS2 into a divx and MP3 player. To run this app you MUST HAVE A MOD CHIP!!!

    2) You do NOT need to put the divx movies on the same disk. You can burn my disc onto a cd as per the instructions. Then AFTER you boot into the media player you need to just swap discs for the one with your divx movies on. What JL did was burn MY CD onto a DVD which left him with just over 4 gigs of space for Divx movies. That means he has about 5 or 6 movies on ONE DVD. So he can put that dvd in and play ANY of the 6 movies without having to change discs again.

If you have any other question then please post what you DID so far, and I can tell you where you went wrong. But if you are just gonna go......Um.......I still dont get it! Can you like, try and like, explain it a different way?

    NO!
