    I read once how to remove it, but can't remember where. Any help?

    Adware doesn't remove it?

    Thats right you can use adaware to remove the adware. Divx pro doesnt use spyware...

    Just make sure not to delete this file:

    clsid\{21ffb6c0-0da1-11d5-a9d5-00500413153c}

    Adaware removed the spyware (Free version of Pro), but deleted that file I guess, because now it won't encode. Can I just replace the file or do I have to reinstall the software?

    Re-installing the codec is the best option.

    alntht, Adaware should create a backup of any changes it makes. You could check that feature out and only restore the registry key mentioned above.

    Actually, I tried that and it still wouldn't work. I reinstalled the DivX software because it was just faster. I'm doing a fresh install of Xp in a few days anyway, so I'll work it out then. I'm only on dial-up for a few minuites a day, so I'm not too woried. Thanks for the input!!
