Divx taking too long ?

    Seems like the conversations from AVI are taking a long time, like 2 hours. These are usually 2 hour movies.

    Nothing else downloading at the same time.

    That sounds about right. Depending on your pc specs can take anywhere from 1 hr or much longer. For most 2 hrs is about average.

    You can try ConvertXtoDVD - the updated version of DivXtoDVD.
    Not free - has a trial but leaves a watermark. Could a least give it a go to check the speed.
    Then there's Nero Vision but that is usually a little slower than ConvertX and DivXtoDVD. Most programs would roughly take the same about of time converting avi's.

    Finally nice here too (Bowie, Md.) - upper 70's and sunny.

    Here's another free one to try - I've downloaded it but have yet to try it so not sure if any faster/slower etc.
    DVD Flick.

    If you give it a go let us know. I may try it sooner or later - I keep forgetting about it :)
