I've used divxtodvd for a few .avi movies i downloaded, and it's worked just fine so far. but i just tried to convert the phantom of the opera (sound was perfect in .avi) and when i playback the movie the sound is fine for the first few minutes and then cuts out... when it comes back it is 5 seconds ahead. does anyone know whats wrong?
anyone? i just tried merging the 2 avi files and then converting it again and it cuts out at the same place and is out of sync for the rest of the movie... i have no idea what im doing wrong... could it have something to do with it having ac3 audio? i extracted that... can i edit it back into the movie?
There could have been errors in the downloaded files. Things that you can do: 1) use a media fixer to fix the files (not always 100% successful) 2) use a more flexible program to transcode (e.g. DVDSanta) again 3) use an editing program to cut away the corrupted parts Good luck!
