    Hi,

Bit of a beginner on these things, but in the pictures showing the installation of the DMS3 modchip, they have some glue or whatever holding the wires to the board and over the points that have been soldered. What is used? I am planning on installing a DMS3 V2 modchip and don't want to use the wrong glue or anything.

    Thanks,
    Matt

They use a hot glue gun to glue the wires onto the board. You can also use electrical tape if you don't already have a glue gun and don't wanna buy one. I use electrical tape all the time and it workd for me.

I'd say use the electric tape... To me glue is a bad idea.

Yea, I agree with westar. The only time I'd ever use glue is if the chip is installed and working great. If you never ever plan on swapping it out for another chip, then glue would be fine, but I'd still be afraid of hot dripping glue hovering over my PS2 motherboard.

Thanks a lot for the advice.

Wish me luck, I'm in the middle of installing it now.

    Cheers,
    Matt.
