    I need some help...

I got my psp about a week ago and I have been trying very hard to get onto Network update so I can update my system. I have entered both primary and secondary DNS, Ip address, and everything else. When I test the connection, I get succeeded. However, when I try to run Network Update (which is how to get the internet, right?) I get this message:
    Connection to the server failed.
    A DNS error has occured.
    (8041040D)

In my router, I have turned off Mac Filtering, and still nothing.

    Thanks for your help!

network update isnt where you get to the browser. the internet browser is where you browse the internet. and do you know the consequences of updateing your system? but its your choice though because if you dont upgrade it you can do things like for example play snes games, gba, n64 and other things on it including using the psp as a universal remote and even downloading PSP games onto your memory stick. but once you update your system all this will be patched.
