    Hi, could somebody help please?

i've aquired a Eurovox max ( the one with 2 scart sockets on the back ) & i can't seem to get DnUman working. i have connected it to my pc using a null modem cable, i open DnUpman & click upload, it asks me where to upload the file to but when i click on EDIT it says it cannot open file. i have looked where it's supposed to have saved the file but nothing is there :( All i want to do is put the channels in the order that i would like them. The box runs fine as it is.

    system information:

    Model DVB-XC BOX
    S/W VER 1.0 SSC4 JUL 05 2006
    H/W VER 2.0 JUL 05 2006
    Bootstrap v002
    Website ----

Also, if the wrong firmware is on would you please tell me which version to put on as i don't know which model of the Eurovox i got :( Thanks.

A full guide, firmware etc can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library. Before you put any firmware on it can you tell me if it came in a blue, red or black package, as there are clone versions of the blue and red boxes. If you put the wrong firmware on a clone version of these it will brick the box.

OK look into the top righthand side grills of the box do you see a flat ribbon cable or do you see a load of individual white cables?

I presume as it is second hand it is either a 2006 or a 2007 model. In the 2006 model if you look down on the box from above, where the air vents are (rear, right hand corner) you will see the silver coloured tuner extending 12 slots in length.
In the 2007 model this only extends 8 slots in length.

Bootstrap indicates it is 2006 but just check please.

Ribbon is flat & tuner extends 12 slots.

OK sounds like a genuine 2006 model.

Go to the link at the end of my post marked Eamo Fta Library. Click the Eurovox folder. You already have dnupman. So you need this firmware EUROVOX_MAX_BLUE_BOX_19_02_07.bin ,(found in the firmware folder). Can you please download the Eurovox User manual, as this will show you how to flash the Eurovox,(found in the Documentation folder).

Easy enough just go into channel manager or favourites manager and sort them there takes about half an hour or so but worth it. Or you could use voxer but that is a different story :)

Cool, The EPG now displays what's on now and next rather than just now ( i take it that was in the new firmware cos it never use to do that) Tell me about the voxer while i got my learning head on lol.

Yes it is a better EPG experience alright. If you press the exit button while on a channel it will also show you info. Voxer is similar to dnupman except with voxer you can also download your channel list from your EV to your pc arrange your channels on the pc and then download them back onto the EV.
