I was on the MyDVD site in the forums asking that once I make a DVD could I just delete the Mpeg2's I made it with because I could just make a copy ? One of the moderators said to hang on to the Mpeg2's incase the dvd I made became unreadable. Would it stop working or incase it gets scratched?

There is some debate going on at the moment about this topic. I can't see it being very practical in keeping all your mpeg files, on your hard disc. They take up quite a bit of space.

I know, why don't you burn them to a DVD, Oh, that's what we're talking about isn't it Doh !!

Best advise is, use the best media you can afford, and..... only time will tell.
