    I have two questions.
    1. Does anyone know the volume name of half- life.
    2. Does anyone know what type of protection does Final Fantasy VIII(8) use?

    Thx

Use ClonyXXL and scan the cd's to determine what cd protection it is. You only need to create (or download) a bwa file for SecuROM 4.83^ up (cd character name\volume name)

    I do have clonyxxl but
    1. Half-Life didn't come with a volume name it came as a rar file.

    2. I don't have FF8 but I want to know the protection it uses so I can buy it.

Well you don't have the "original" cd's and I can't recall what cd protection is on them. Look in the "sticky" threads under Safedisc& SecuROM pc game titles and see if they are mentioned m8.
