    Title says it all really. I've got a v6 PS2, and the AR2 (not Ar2 v2).
I just want to know if the AR2 can play Import games before I buy loads on my next holiday. I've also just got a DVD burner and want to know if the AR2 will allow me to play DVD-R backups or is Swap Magic DVD 2.0 the only one that can do this?
    Thanks a lot

I would just get the Swap Magic discs if you dont wanna go through the hassle of putting in solder chip. I dont think the AR2 can play imports of DVD-R PAL games on a NTSC system, neither can using the Swap Magic discs. But if you have a NTSC US system you can play NTSC JAP games using Swap Magic Discs. I dont know if AR2 can do this. Besides the Swap Magic discs are less of a hassle booting backups compared to the AR2. If you wanna play sa PAL games on a NTSC system you might wanna get the DMS3 chip.
