On the codebreakers manual it says they have a warranty if the software damages your console. That got me wondering if hex editing or whatever its called can damage your system. I just bought a modchipped system and I would hate for it to go waste just so I can have invincibility in battles for Star Ocean 3. Speaking of which, the game has jammed on me about 10 times during battles with horrid screeches. Now the battles play in 'slo-mo'. Has my game console been damaged? Should I jsut avoid this cheating stuff altogether?

if your using a backup game either your media was cheap, or you
    burned the backup too fast.
    I use verbatim(mcc) and fujifilm(yuden).
I use dvd decrypter and burn at 2x max.
