i know this question has probably been asked a million times, but many of the answers contradict each other. i have a v7 ps2 with magic 3.1. i also have a pioneer a05. i have not yet played a dvd backup on my ps2, but cdr backups work perfectly. anyhow, i just tried making a backup of gameday 2003 using nero...i made an image, then recorded it at 2x to dvd-rw, and the game didn't load up. i am just wondering if i did something wrong, of if ps2s dont like rw??

    I don't have any trouble booting DVD+rw.
Also copy them with Nero on the fly.
Copied a couple of DVD games onto them and a couple of DVD movies.
From what I know is that only some PS2 version consoles play + or -rw.
    I have a PS2 30004R v5 PAL.
Sometimes they even boot better than the DVD+r !

they have a lower reflectance level which can make your ps2 work harder and burn out the laser faster thats why many dvd players on the maket dont offer this feature.

but some ps2 do read the rw's and some dont it is very strange with a version 7 most of them do but there are always exceptions.

just one question are you using the same brand of disc for rw's that you did for copying r games
