does havingto much software affect reading/burning

    i have 6 different softwares and sometimes they dont read all of my disks and my friend who has the exact same software/burner can read my movies but i cant read his what is going on i've wasted to many disks shrink hangs at 1 percent help i'm getting frustrated

    What 6 different softwares are you talking about?If you have a software conflict it can cause problems with readindg and burning.

    get rid of roxio if thats one, it doesnt play well with others. Also INcd or any variations.
    try ripping with decrypter first.
    By hang do you mean a read error?? or unrecoverable proggram must shut error
