I bought my ps2 from Europe so obviously it only plays European (PAL) originals.

however i installed a mod-chip recently and the guy who works at the store told me it doesn't matter whether I burn NTSC or PAL originals.. as long as it's a copy it will work. is this true?

    thanks.

If it's modded, then yes. Mine is PAL, modded, and plays NTSC games fine.

However, if you're playing on PAL TV there'll either won't be picture, or it'll be black&white. You need to connect the video cabel through an RGB cabel.
