The swap magic itself doesn't do any damage.. but USING CRAP LOW QUALITY DISKS does. No cmc mags.. look at the good media threads.

    Always use good quality disks.

I dont believe that.. Why? Because I have been doing backups of music,ps1 and ps2 games, movies, etc.... using the cheapest media I can find for the last 3 years and have NEVER had problems, burning or playing them, or causing damage to the laser or device... I hear people say cheap disc are crap, but I have found those to be the best...for my use... I actually have used many other brands just to see, and in every name brand I had either a disc error or burn error every now and then.. and never with my original walmart brand media...
I have said this a thousand times, I have found the actual problem is mainly the speed in which you burn at... also a dirty laser on your writer can cause issues.... Anyway sorry for getting way off the original question but I needed to clear that up...
As for swap magic, I also have been using it since the first release and have never had a problem.... The only problem that could be caused from swap magic, is the actual swapping method.. Being careful not to just sling the disc in and out risking scratching the laser, especially during the swap.....

Well i had to void my slide card's warranty to install it but it was worth it. It hasen't really done anything to my PS2. And cheap discs ARE crap. Just try backing up a game with Office Depot discs >_>
