does the new slim PS2 work with regular flip tops and swap magic 2.0?

see topic. I already know that it can't fit a hard drive. I was thinking that the new PS2 was sony's subtle way of saying we've made a new PS2 that is totally mod proof.

Its already got a fliptop so forget about buying one for it.
Mod proof? Quite the opposite really, think about it man if sony did make it unmodable then I doubt it wud sell, u can easily mod it to play backups with some duct tape!
Sony were clever making it like this, they knew adding a fliptop would boost sales and for some reason its also compatible with swap magic dvd?
    I know im gettin one!
I also heard there a mod in development for it.

wait a second. It comes with a flip top? Why on earth would Sony do that? Thats like opening Universal opening up a free-P2P music sharing network on their main website. I definitely need to see a picture of this.
