All the Double Layer DVD's I've made work great on all my standalone DVD players (4 of them) but they won't play on any PC DVD-ROMs (3 I'v tried)?? In my PC they are only recognized when I put them in my DVD+R DL burner.
    Anyone else have that problem?

Unfortunatly the majority of DVD-Roms don't recognize DVD+ R DL. This is the reason I have two DL burners instead of a DVD-Rom and 1 DL burner. If your DL burner supports bitsetting, change the booktype on you DL discs to DVD-Rom before you burn. This may help your drives play your DL backups. There's still a chance this may not work, but it's worth a try. Also, make sure your firmware is current. Good luck.
