    Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has been recording double layer dvd's. Ive been thinking about getting one of the double layer drives, but i am unaware of any programs that will extract dvd movies (for backup purposes only). Any comments? anyone using one of the double layer burrners? and if so how can i rip and record the larger 8 gig movies?

    thanks in advance

The DL media has not been released yet although it is being advertised:

At $14.95/disc I am going to wait until prices come down some before purchasing. I have to compare what the original DVD cost compared to what the copy will cost. Why would I want to spend more on the copy than on the original? This is going to kill DL burner sales.
As far as ripping and burning them, I plan to rip with Decrypter and burn with Nero 6, which supports DL burning.
