    Hi guys and girls,

I have just received my psp, I have just let it stop charging for the past 8 hours, and I have those dreaded marks on my motherboard; so it looks like i have a TA-082. So after the past 3 hours of surfing around on the net i have come across this website, which says for me to upgrade to firmware v2.80 and then downgrade to v1.50.

Can anybody tell me if this is true and will it work?

The website where I found this info was here:

    http://homepage.eircom.net/~pspcalo/2.71downgrader.html

Any help on this one would really be appreciated as I do not want to brick my lovely new psp.

Thanks everyone, I hope to become more of a help than a hindrance to the scene here at afterdawn.

    Kindest Regards.
