I'm sure you all hear this question a lot but I'm really annoyed and would appreciate it if you could take a minute to answer my question. I was looking into purchasing a PSP and once I was told you can play roms on them, I was sold. I ordered one from Gamestop. I had to wait and order a USB cabel, I got it today and went online to put some roms on, just to see that I need to downgrade. Then I find out that my system is a 2.71fw with a IC1003 motherboard.

Is there no way to downgrade this at all?

Are there any emulators that work with 2.71fw?

    Thanks.

Yea after a lot of digging I found Touran's guide for downgrading a IC1003.

I'm doing what it said but when I get to the part where I load idstoragechange from Games, it goes to that white screen that says psp like it does when it loads a game. Then the screen goes black and it comes back to the home menu where I get a message that says the game can't be loaded. Is this supposed to happen?
